Finding the water you need
You Asked. We Listened.
Finding a reliable source of groundwater can be challenging in East Central Alberta- until now. Legacy Drilling is happy to announce that as of 2018 seismoelectric data analysis will be offered to identify potential water well sites. Traditionally, our drillers utilize geological data and historical logs to determine well sites. With the addition of onsite surveys, aerial imagery and seismic data they are better able to determine the best potential site and water yield. Seismic technology reduces the risk of an underperforming or dry well.
Landowners will identify an area where water is required. The seismic team will then use 6-12 sounding sites to perform the site survey. The team will then use computing, processing and mapping software to interpret the data, creating a report for the landowner. This report will contain estimated depths and interpreted yield of water sources, allowing you to make an informed decision where you'd like our drillers to drill. The reporting process typically requires 15 days to complete, so booking ahead for this service is recommended.
