SATELLITE WATER SYSTEM MONITORING

GRID-TIE SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS

Essentially, this system allows you to install solar panels on your home, business or farm buildings, hook them up to a grid-tie inverter (GTI) and reduce your dependence on the electrical grid that supplies your community. In doing so, you not only save money on your electricity bill, but in some areas you are able to see excess power generated back to the utility company.
In our corner of the province, a kilowatt (1000 watts) of panels, placed properly, will produce 1000-1400 kilowatt-hours per year. You will see the biggest benefit from solar power during the summer months with our long days, as opposed to winter when solar availability is less due to shorter days.

OFF-GRID SOLAR POWER SYSTEMS
These unique systems are often used in remote locations where standard power supplies are not readily accessible, or unreliable. Rural locations or remote cabins are an excellent example of where off-grid solar power systems by CAP Solar are advantageous.
Off-grid systems are designed to deliver all of your power needs, so tend to be larger and more costly than grid-tie systems. Most of your electrical needs can be met by charging your battery banks, which connect to an inverter to supply your 120 volt needs. A backup generator stands by to charge the batteries during extended periods of cloud cover. Various sized deep cycle batteries are available depending on your situation and system.
